JENNI MELEAR is an actor, writer, director and producer, who has appeared on hit TV shows including New Girl and Disney Channel’s Shake it Up. Her leading role in the feature film Bullitt County premiered at Austin Film Festival and played in AMC theaters nationwide.
Jenni’s onscreen debut, A .45 at 50th, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and her role in the critically acclaimed feature film Dead Dad earned praise at festivals worldwide. She wrote and produced the award-winning short film Funny Love, which premiered at LA's Dances with Films Festival.
Jenni made her directorial debut with Hollywood Fringe Festival's one-man show Baby Boy, which earned rave reviews and won the festival's Audience Choice Award.
In addition to her training in Meisner technique with renowned teacher William Alderson, Jenni has studied with the Upright Citizens Brigade and Lesly Kahn and Co.
Jenni owns production company House MacLeod with her husband Stuart MacLeod, magician and executive producer of the Netflix smash, Magic for Humans. She aims to be among the trailblazing female filmmaker ensuring women's stories are told and voices heard in film and television. Her degree in political science, experience as an Americorps national service volunteer and work on campaigns has played a substantial role in the stories she's passionate about telling.
Jenni and Stuart are parents to 2-year-old love of their lives, Nelly Moon.
